8 Costa Mesa Record: 12-7, 2-2.  Beat Laguna Beach on Friday.  Chad Vakili, David Conte and Mike Payne have formed the main offensive core for Costa Mesa in the preseason. An improving team. Next Up: Corona del Mar on 1/24 at home.

14 Morningside Record: 7-8, 3-4.  Early preseason and league losses will be deceptive due to their tough schedule against top teams in higher divisions.  Marlon Brisco, Dave Payne, Daniel Campbell, Marques Calcote lead. Next Up: @ Mira Costa 1/24.
