2000 Fullcourt Press Senior Showcase
Event Next Monday Night--(March 14, 2000)

What: 2000 Fullcourt Press Senior Showcase
When: Monday, March 20, 2000
Where: Long Beach City College
Times:  5:15, 6:30, 7:45 & 9:00 p.m.
NCAA Certified Event

Dinos Trigonis sent us some information about yet another senior showcase event that will be taking place in the next week, and this time, the event is designed to actually work around some of the other weekend events rather than conflict. . . so we'll all still be able to attend either the Rockfish Spring League schedule or the second consecutive Double Pump Shootout, both of which will both be going full-blast over the weekend at LACC and Cal State Dominguez Hills, respectively.   Instead, the 2000 Fullcourt Press Senior Showcase will take place next Monday night at Long Beach City College.  And while a lot of people say that this year's senior class is not as talent-laden as the current crop of juniors, there are still a number of excellent unsigned seniors out there.  Dinos sent us the list of those unsigned seniors who are expected to participate, and the list is impressive.  We're not sure of the exact format, but if it's the same type of event that we're used to seeing in these showcases, you'll see four competitive games with some of the top unsigned seniors in the region.   You'll note that there are 41 players listed, but Michah McKinney broke his wrist/arm (we're still not sure which), so he won't be playing, which means that there are just enough players to have four games which will let everyone play a full game. . . actually, we suspect that there will be some other unsigned seniors added or who will show up at the last minute, but it appears that all of the guys below will be available to play, particularly since by Monday evening, the Dominguez guys will be back from their successful trip up to the State Finals. :^). . . .
