Sherman Gay Signs LOI With
Loyola Marymount--(May 4, 2000)

We just received word that Sherman Gay (6'-7" Sr. SG/SF) from Compton Dominguez, has signed a national letter of intent with Loyola Marymount University.    Gay averaged 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game this past season, and helped lead the Dons to a San Gabriel Valley League title, a Southern Section Division II-AA Championship,  the State Southern Regional title, a California State Championship, and a final consensus ranking by USA Today and just about every other media outlet as the No. 1 high school team in the country.

Sherman is a lanky, athletic shooter who can slash to the hole or pop a smooth shot out to three point range, and his offensive skills should greatly improve the Lions at the wing next season.

In addition to Gay,  new LMU coach Steve Aggers has also signed a point guard, Eurskine Robinson (6'-0" So. PG) from  College of the Canyons;  Eurskine was a graduate of LA Palisades.
