Dinos Trigonis of Belmont Shore-Fullcourt Press and other top events, and Clark Francis, longtime basketball scout and publisher of the HoopScoop, America's best and most complete recruiting website, have joined forces and will produce an All-American Camp.  This one will take place in Clark's backyard, in Memphis, Tennessee, and it will feature 120 of the top rising  seniors and underclassmen from all over the country.  Dinos sent us an e-mail about this event some time ago (actually it was about a month ago, but with high school playoffs, we've barely had a moment to breathe), but better late than never.   The event is invitation-only, and will be styled after the Nike All-American and adidas ABCD camps.  Here's the e-mail we received from Dinos:

The 2001 Hoop Scoop All-American Premiere will debut on May 18-20, 2001 at the University of Memphis' Finch Center in Memphis, Tennessee.

This invitation-only, individual All-American-style camp will showcase 120 of the top prep players in the nation (2002 rising seniors and   underclassmen) and promises to be among the best events of the entire year.   Attending players will participate in 5 games as well as taking part in   stations and hearing from guest speakers. Invitations to the nation's top   prep players will be extended starting on February 26th.

Besides the Hoop Scoop's own Clark Francis and the entire Hoop Scoop  recruiting staff, a large contingent of national and regional media are   expected to attend. This event will be open to the public. More info on  this event can be found at: www.hoopscooponline.com

Questions or direct requests for additional information should be  directed to Camp Directors Dinos Trigonis (562) 223-0190 or Etop Udo-Ema (562) 901-8592 or Hoop Scoop's publisher Clark Francis (502) 493-0043

Invitations will be sent shortly to invitees, and hopefully we'll be making the trip to report on the event along with many other regional and national basketball fanatics.  More news on this one as it becomes available.
