LA City Section Non-League Game Scores For Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002

Lastly, as we noted yesterday, if you want up-to-the-minute scores the day of a game, we suggest you check with us on the SoCalHoops message forums or that you visit the Los Angeles Times' "Preps" section online scores.  The Times publishes and posts scores and limited detail (usually high scorers only) almost within minutes of a score being reported at their internet site which was re-launched last season.  They've got the manpower for such a task, and we're happy to recommend it to anyone with a serious (or even passing) interest in finding a score.   Seriously, this is a great service performed by the Times, which as we all know has plenty to atone for given what they've otherwise done to their prep print page in their various editions of the newspaper, especially when it comes to reporting during the basketball season.    If you have scores to report and want to see them posted within minutes, simply call the Times at 1-800-LATIMES and dial in extension 77151. Of course, you can also submit scores and details to the Times by e-mail to stats@latimes.com, but it's much more reliable to actually call and speak with a live person to insure that the paper gets the details, and it's a lot handier to use a phone than a computer (unless you've got a laptop with a wireless connection).   We also want to suggest that anyone with scoring details contact the other great regional papers in their areas.  All of these various regional outlets provide scores, stats and details, and collectively, they're an invaluable resource if you're interested in a particular area within SoCal.  If you are in the Inland Empire the paper to contact is the Riverside Press-Enterprise at (909) 684-1200.  For Orange County,  call the OC Register at 714-796-7804.  And if you're in any other area, well, there are a plethora of papers to report scores and details to (e.g., Ventura County Star; Santa Barbara News-Press; LA Daily News for the SFV; LB Press-Telegram for the 710/605 corridor; Pasadena Star News; San Bernardino County Sun; Redlands Daily Facts; etc).   And lastly, keep sending them in to us at SoCalHoops by e-mail at jegesq@socalhoops.com. We can't promise to post them as quickly as the LA Times will, but we'll get to them eventually, usually by the next day.
