Pasadena, CA: Inaugural ARC Pasadena King Classic
When: Jan 16-18, 1999. The Pasadena King Classic will feature many of SoCal's top boys and girls traveling teams, from ages 9 - 14 (Grades 3 - 8) in tournament format. Carson, CA: Double Pump Martin Luther King Weekend Hoops Festival

Los Angeles, CA: 5th Annual MLK, Jr. Challenge
When: January 18, 1999. At Pauley Pavilion on the UCLA Campus. Highly prestigious high school invitational tournament. Featuring the top local high school teams and players. Hosted by Compton Dominguez High, this year's tentative lineup of teams includes Dominguez, Mater Dei, Compton, Inglewood, Crenshaw, Redondo Union, Simi Valley, Fairfax, Long Beach Jordan, Long Beach Poly, Glendora, Artesia, and more. Los Angeles, CA: Top Prospects, Inc., King Day Classic

San Diego, CA: Future Stars Basketball Club Dream Classic

Long Beach/Los Angeles: Artesia-Poly High School Annual Slam Tournament
When: Late January 1999 Held at Long Beach State - in the West Gymnasium (The Gold Mine), not The Pyramid. Always an exciting lineup of teams and local high school talent.

Carmichael, CA: Jesuit Junior Classic

Brentwood, CA: Bristow Bears Winter Classic
When: January 16-18. For boys Grade 8 (14U). 16 Team tournament. $135 per team. 3 game guarantee with winners' and consolation brackets.
