San Gabriel Valley, CA: San Gabriel Valley Matadors Summer Boys Junior Varsity Tournament
When: July 9 through 11, 1999
Where: San Gabriel Valley High School. Entry fee $130.00 (reduced fee of $280 for this tournament and the June Varsity Tournament). for Boys tournament for varsity and jv teams.   Guaranteed 3 games; summer league rules (6 fouls, 3 min overtime, running clock only last minute stop clock, CIF Officials). The first game of the tournament will not start on Friday until 1:00 p.m. to accomodate summer school schedules. Los Angeles, CA: 16th Annual Slam-n-Jam National Invitational Tournament
When: July 20-24, 1999
  Boys Teams, Frosh, Soph, Junior & Senior Varsity H.S.. Held at campus of California State University at Long Beach, and high schools in the Carson/Long Beach area. Attended by major college coaches, prep scouting services, and national traveling all star teams. Rated by major college coaches, high school coaches, prep scouting services and national participating all star teams as the single most competitive national HS and youth all star tournament in the USA. San Diego, CA: 13th Annual San Diego Jack In The Box Classic
When: July 22-25, 1999
   Held last year at UCSD in the RIMAC center, the 1998 tournament had over 230 teams.  The entry fee for 1999 is $375 per team. This is not a "high school" girls' tournament (due to CIF regulations) but it is intended to be a tournament for girls who all attend the same high school on the same travel team (not for "all-star" teams). Kearney, NE: Mr. Basketball Invitational Tournament
When: Early July
Where: Kearney, Nebraska. For boys' teams, with prep eligibility. For further information, contact Doug Koster, (308) 237-4012, or visit the Mr. Basketball Website. Tournament Entry information can be obtained here. The event will feature 32 high school all-star teams from 15-25 states. The field will include a large number of 17 & Under AAU national qualifiers, BCI national teams, and other top flight teams. All games played in the 6,500 seat - air conditioned Health & Sports Center at UNK. Guarantee 5 games. Pool play July 1-2; seeded tournament July 3-4. Two-16 minute halves, stop-clock. No restrictions on subs or defenses. All players must have one year or more of high school eligibility remaining after the tournament ends. Fee $350.   Where:  Denton, Texas. The 1999 Denton Summer Shootout is a MAYB Regional basketball tournament to be held in Denton, Texas on July 16-18.   Where: Las Vegas, Nevada. Played at 6 different sites, this is the largest high school and traveling team tournament in the country. Last year featured more than 220 teams, this year will be even bigger.

Following on the heels of the the nation's largest tournament, the adidas Las Vegas Big Time, the Grand Finale covers all the age brackets, including 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14, High School, traveling teams, boys & girls. Nine separate divisions, with boys teams of all ages, including high school varsity teams, along with growing girls divisions. More than 157 teams particpated in late July in 1998.
